VOXX / APP PRIVACY

Updated 3 October 2026

Your running data.
Your choices.

VOXX SPORTS d.o.o. is responsible for the personal information processed to provide the VOXX app. Contact info@voxx.run about privacy, your information or a data request.

This notice describes the app, including connected wearable information and optional online features. Our website privacy notice separately covers beta applications, website visits and beta feedback.

1. Information you provide

VOXX uses the running setup, goals, availability, training history, check-ins and workout feedback you choose to provide. This can include health-related answers, such as pain, illness or recovery information. Your plans, manual activity records, strength sessions and preparation notes help the app organize training and explain recommendations.

The app keeps a local copy of its working information on your device. Online account features use your account identifier and contact details to authenticate you and associate information with the correct account. Using an account does not, by itself, enable every optional sharing feature.

Signing in with Google. If you choose Continue with Google, VOXX requests basic sign-in information: your account identity, email and basic profile. Depending on the information Google supplies, this can include your Google account identifier, email address and its verification status, name and profile image. Google passes this information to Supabase, which provides VOXX's account authentication and stores the linked account identity. VOXX uses your account identifier and email to sign you in and associate information with the correct account. Any use of your email to link optional beta usage is explained separately in the website privacy notice. You enter your Google password with Google; VOXX does not receive it. This sign-in does not grant VOXX access to your Gmail, Google Drive or health records. Account retention and deletion controls are explained below. Deleting your VOXX account does not delete your Google account.

2. Connected wearables and activity data

Wearable connections are optional. Before connecting a supported service, you choose the available categories and historical period, review VOXX's sharing explanation and authorize access with the provider. Available providers, history and fields depend on access approval, device support and your permissions.

VOXX uses Terra to connect supported wearable services and deliver selected information to VOXX's backend. Depending on the connection and choices, retained summaries can include:

The provider's permission screen may cover more information than VOXX retains. VOXX's wearable import process selects supported summary fields; it does not retain complete raw provider payloads or general historical GPS/sample streams as part of that import.

We use these summaries to show your history, match completed and planned sessions, explain recorded runs and inform training-plan review. Recordings of the same workout from different services may be grouped while preserving their sources. Missing measurements are not treated as proof that you are recovered or ready to exercise. Importing history does not silently replace your accepted plan.

Information is associated with your individual VOXX account, not used only in anonymous aggregate form. We do not sell Garmin user data. Authorizing an import is not permission to sell that data or permission to enable every online AI feature.

Signing out or closing VOXX does not necessarily revoke a cloud provider's authorization. Use Connections to disconnect. The app offers choices to keep or remove previously imported summaries. Removing information from VOXX does not delete the original records held by Garmin, Apple Health, WHOOP or another source.

3. Optional online Coach and AI explanations

When you enable the relevant online sharing feature, VOXX sends selected running context to OpenAI through VOXX's backend to produce an explanation or respond to you. Context can include your current plan, check-ins, feedback, relevant history and minimized phone or wearable recording summaries. Precise recorded paths are excluded from automatic Coach context. Personal Coach chat has its own sharing explanation because it also uses conversations and memory.

If you use Coach attachments or voice input, the content you choose is processed to interpret the attachment or transcribe your message. VOXX saves chat text, attachment names/descriptions and editable memory notes, rather than retaining the original attachment or audio bytes in its chat archive. Avoid including another person's sensitive information.

Conversations and memory are saved to your VOXX account and device. You can remove individual chats and notes or clear Coach history. Turning memory off changes what future replies use; it does not itself erase stored chats or notes. Delete both a note and its source conversation if you want both removed.

OpenAI's API data-handling rules apply to content it processes. VOXX's request settings do not establish zero retention by the provider. See OpenAI's data controls. Data may be processed for provider security and abuse monitoring under those rules.

VOXX provides fitness guidance. Training rules and review controls remain separate from generated explanations. Guidance is not a medical diagnosis or a guarantee that an activity is safe for you.

4. Optional account backup

If you enable account backup, VOXX saves a copy of the covered profile and health answers, setup, accepted plan, check-ins, manual activity records, feedback, strength sessions and preparation notes to your account. The in-app screen explains the scope before you enable it.

Completed iPhone recording summaries and recording/motion preferences are also covered. Summaries can include time, distance, average pace, splits, detected steps, cadence, estimated climbing and recording-quality information. Precise recorded maps and the choice to save them are excluded from account backup.

That backup does not include saved routes, an active timer or device permissions. Connected wearable summaries and Coach history use their separate account services. Backup does not enable AI sharing. It is protected in transit and in server storage, but it is not end-to-end encrypted.

Turning backup off stops future backup from that device and keeps the last cloud copy. Use Remove cloud backup to delete that copy. Your local setup remains on the device unless you remove it separately.

5. Phone recording, maps and voice guidance

Location-based features use the device permissions you grant. Route planning uses Apple mapping services for place search and directions. Guide me back sends your current position and rejoin point to Apple to request walking directions. A short recent path may be kept locally during guidance for retracing and is discarded afterward. Following a chosen route uses live position during the session, including background access where supported and enabled. You can manage location permissions in your device settings.

Phone recording. When Record distance with iPhone is enabled for an outdoor session, live location is used to estimate distance, average pace and splits, including while the phone is locked. Measure cadence & climbing uses permitted Motion & Fitness access and supported hardware to estimate steps and relative-pressure ascent/descent. Declining motion access leaves the timer and GPS usable. Summaries are saved with the run. A minimal local progress record supports recovery after an interruption without location coordinates or imported health records.

Optional live heart rate. When enabled, fresh readings come from Apple Watch during a VOXX workout or an explicitly selected compatible Bluetooth sensor connected to the carried iPhone. Imported history through Terra is separate. Local processing supports a descriptive reading and optional effort reminders based on your reviewed personal easy range. A compact completed-session summary can include average heart rate during eligible easy main running, signal coverage, source changes and reminder history. It may be included in optional account backup and enabled Coach sharing; raw live series and sensor identifiers are excluded from ordinary account backup and analytics. Missing readings do not pause the run or change the accepted plan.

Optional recorded maps. Save my recorded map is off by default. Without it, recording coordinates remain in memory. When enabled, the actual path is stored in protected local files for the account, separately from planning routes and summary records. Displaying the map requests its visible area from Apple Maps.

Saved route geometry is separate from wearable history imports and optional account backup. If you explicitly prepare a natural route voice, direction text, which can include street names, is sent through VOXX to OpenAI for speech generation. That voice request does not include the route's GPS geometry or your health profile. VOXX does not retain the direction text or generated audio on that backend; prepared audio can be stored on your device for the session.

6. Optional beta usage

Beta usage sharing is a separate choice. When enabled, it records limited feature-use events, approximate app/session time and app-version information linked to your account. It does not include your health measurements, precise route coordinates, Coach conversations or workout notes.

You can turn it off without disabling running features. The website privacy notice describes beta usage, feedback and their retention periods.

7. Service providers and access

The service uses providers for specific tasks:

Authorized personnel may access information when necessary to support the service, resolve a request or investigate an issue. We may also disclose information where a legal obligation requires it. We do not make your individual activity history or Coach conversations public.

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Applicable international-transfer safeguards and provider terms must cover that processing. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your use of VOXX.

8. Purposes and legal grounds

Basic account and requested service operations are used to provide VOXX to you. Optional wearable imports, health-related sharing and online AI processing rely on the choices and, where required, explicit consent presented in the app. Necessary security and service-administration processing protects the service and its users. We may retain information where required by law.

You can withdraw optional consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Disabling a feature can limit that feature's functionality; it does not automatically erase information already saved. Use the deletion controls or contact us when you also want stored information removed.

9. Retention and deletion

Retention and deletion controls by information type
InformationRetention/control
Local training setup and recordsRemain on your device until removed through the relevant controls or device/app-data removal
Optional recorded-run mapsLocal only, up to the latest 200 completed maps. Delete a map independently, discard its run or remove the account's local data. Turning map saving off does not delete existing maps.
Imported wearable summariesRetained until you remove them or delete the account, subject to any necessary legal retention
Coach conversations and memoryRetained until deleted; turning memory off alone does not delete them
Optional cloud backupThe last copy remains until removed or account deletion; switching backup off alone does not remove it
Wearable delivery receiptsTechnical receipt records expire after 30 days; these are distinct from retained activity summaries
Beta usage and feedbackSeparate periods and removal behavior are explained in the website notice
Provider security records and infrastructure backupsSubject to the relevant provider retention and deletion arrangements; deletion from the active app service is not a promise of immediate erasure from every provider backup

Account deletion includes the account-linked app data and provider-disconnection process. Separate website beta applications or independently submitted feedback may require a separate removal request. Copies held independently by connected services remain subject to those services' controls and policies.

10. Your rights and requests

Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, withdraw consent, and object to processing where the right applies. Email info@voxx.run. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You can also complain to your relevant data-protection authority.

We will update this notice when the app's processing changes and present a new choice where a new purpose or expanded sharing requires it. A privacy-notice update does not automatically enable a wearable connection or optional feature.
