At a glance
Connections are optional. Choose the summaries you share, then review the import status for each category.
Find it in VOXXYou → Connections
Your running does not start from zero just because you opened a new app. VOXX can bring in available Apple Health and WHOOP history to help describe your recent training. The useful part is seeing what actually arrived, rather than treating a connected badge as proof that every reading is available.
Step by step
Choose a supported connection
Open Connections and select Apple Health or WHOOP. Review the data choices, history range and sharing explanation before authorising. VOXX uses Terra for these connections. Apple Health syncing takes place from your iPhone while VOXX is open.
Let the categories report their progress
Expand a connection to see imported workouts, daily summaries, sleep and additional heart measurements. Different categories can finish at different times. If one request needs a retry, that does not mean every saved category has failed.
Look at Your heart data
Available average heart rate may arrive within workouts; resting heart rate and variability may arrive in daily or sleep summaries. An empty additional-measurements category does not by itself mean that all heart data is missing.
Review the runs that matter
Open a recent running record, check the source and add your effort and pain feedback. VOXX may pair a clear match with a planned session, or ask you to confirm an uncertain match.
More data is not automatically better data
History depends on the source, permissions and available records. Apple does not tell an app which read permissions you declined, so an empty import can mean no records or limited access. WHOOP and Apple Health remain distinct sources; their measurements are not interchangeable.
When a recent run has not arrived
With Apple Health workout access enabled in Connections, VOXX can check for recent workouts when you open the app and request an update through your existing connection. Check import progress before logging the run again. Your watch syncing with Apple Health and your provider delivering the data can take time, so a completed workout may not appear immediately.
Live heart rate is a separate choice
A connected Apple Health or WHOOP history account does not supply live readings. Live support and effort reminders start off. Before a session, open Heart rate and enable Use live heart rate. Choose Apple Watch with Watch recording, or Bluetooth sensor with your carried iPhone. For Bluetooth, wear the sensor, enable its heart-rate broadcast and tap Find a heart-rate sensor to select it. WHOOP needs Heart Rate Broadcast enabled in its own app. Generic sensor setup does not require a WHOOP account; the sensor must support standard Bluetooth heart-rate broadcast.
Readings first, reminders only if you choose
You can view fresh readings without a target. For optional Remind me to ease back cues, use Add my easy range to enter an established personal range or one supplied by your coach or lab, then review and confirm it. VOXX does not guess it from age or imported history. Reminders need enough fresh readings during eligible easy main running; low readings never tell you to speed up. They do not automatically change your pace target or plan, and are not medical monitoring. Accuracy, usefulness, battery use and compatibility beyond the tested devices remain under evaluation.
If the live signal disappears
Stale readings clear while your run continues. One source supplies the live reading at a time. More sensor options offers Allow Apple Watch fallback when relevant. If you approve it before running and it takes over after Bluetooth loss, Watch remains selected when Bluetooth returns. Watch-only runs use Watch measurements. You can mute Heart-rate effort reminders during the session; source and range choices belong to pre-run setup.
You keep control
Connections lets you stop imports or remove imported data. Wearable consent is separate from online AI explanations and account backup. Current public guides cover Apple Health and WHOOP; selecting Garmin or another brand on the beta application signals interest, not an already available integration.
VOXX is in private iPhone beta. Features and screen labels may differ between testers.
