At a glance
Signing in does not switch on every kind of sharing. Choose the services you want and review each one separately.
Find it in VOXXYou → Your data & privacy, Connections and Account backup
Health history, an AI explanation and a saved copy of your plan serve different purposes. VOXX keeps those choices separate. You can understand which service you are enabling without assuming that one permission means agreement to every feature in the app.
Step by step
Choose your connections
In Connections, review the summaries and history you want to import through Terra. Use the connection controls to stop imports or remove imported records when you no longer want them.
Decide about online AI
Your data & privacy controls online explanations and related sharing. Fixed on-device reasons remain distinct from an online reply. Read the consent text so you know what context is being used.
Enable backup if you want recovery across installations
Account backup can save supported profile, plan, check-in and review information to your account. Check its saved or pending status. A successful sign-in alone is not confirmation that your latest changes are backed up.
Choose whether to help the beta
Help shape VOXX offers optional, account-linked usage sharing. It covers feature use and estimated time, not heart readings, pace, distance, routes or conversations. Declining it does not stop your training features.
Know what a backup contains
Optional account backup can include completed phone-run summaries: time, distance, pace, splits, cadence, climbing and recording quality. Compact live-heart-rate summaries can include average heart rate during eligible easy main running, signal coverage, source changes and reminder history. Raw live readings and sensor identifiers are excluded. It can also contain sensitive profile and health answers. It is protected in transit and managed storage, but is not end-to-end encrypted. Active timers, device permissions, saved routes, recorded maps and copies of imported wearable measurements are excluded. Coach conversations use their separate sharing and storage controls.
Choose whether to keep your recorded path
Save my recorded map is off by default. Enabling it keeps the actual path in protected files for your account on this iPhone. Maps are excluded from account and device backups, ordinary exports and automatic Coach context. Delete a map in Run Review without deleting the run summary. Switching map saving off affects future runs; it does not delete saved maps. The latest 200 completed maps are kept, and the setting is not restored from account backup. Viewing a map requests its displayed area from Apple Maps.
Check the controls when things change
If you change phones, restore the correct account’s saved setup and review the result. If two copies conflict, choose deliberately rather than assuming the newest screen is authoritative. Privacy controls also provide data export and account-deletion paths. Turning off one service does not imply that all other consents or previously submitted beta feedback have been removed.
VOXX is in private iPhone beta. Features and screen labels may differ between testers.
