At a glance

Preview what changes before accepting. A temporary disruption does not need a new goal, and missed runs do not become extra work.

Find it in VOXXPlan → Temporary schedule change or Review future weeks; Today → Want to run today?

A late meeting, travel or another sport can make a sensible plan difficult to follow. You should not have to choose between pretending the week went perfectly and starting everything again. VOXX gives short-term changes their own preview, separate from a bigger change of direction.

Step by step

  1. Choose the dates that have changed

Open Temporary schedule change and choose a period from tomorrow through the next fourteen days. Select No running, Less time or Fewer running days. Individual days also offer eligible moves, club runs and other-sport choices.

  2. Compare running and strength together

Read the affected sessions and reasons in one preview. Recovery space, current training and available time still matter, so not every requested move fits. Completed or started sessions stay in history.

  3. Accept the version you want

Nothing changes until you accept. Your usual settings and goal stay saved. Eligible changes can be undone while the surrounding plan and activity still match. Today’s existing session continues to use its check-in and review.

Want to run on a planned rest day?

When eligible, Today shows Want to run today? Complete any missing check-in there. VOXX can move a suitable upcoming easy or run/walk session within seven days to today, making its original date rest. Review both dates and any strength changes, then choose Use this schedule or Keep my plan. A past skip stays skipped; no extra running is added. Recovery limits can rule out a move. Illness does not create a make-up run. Choose a fresh optional route after accepting.

Review the week before changing the next one

Open Plan → Review future weeks → Preview your plan. The review separates what was recorded, what it means and the actual session changes. Expand the evidence or full schedule when useful. If Something isn’t right, correct the record or check-in, then choose Refresh weekly review. Confirm weekly review keeps unchanged sessions; Accept & update plan saves changes. A recovery hold has its own explicit action. The core review works offline without a wearable; online AI explanation is optional.

Read the dates behind the totals

Recorded running shows the last seven completed local days, with run count and dates. Today is still in progress and is excluded. Open 4-week planning details for the dated weekly totals and planning median, a middle value rather than the latest week or a four-week average. The details show whether planning uses your estimate or confirmed history. Missing records are not proof of no running.

Returning after a temporary change

When the period ends, or you remove a limit, use the current check-in and review a fresh outlook. Old sessions do not return automatically. Check Recent movement and pending imports before treating a run as missing.

For a longer break, use Manage plan

Pause or end the plan when that better reflects your situation. Completed activity stays in history. Returning opens a fresh review, and any required check-in is available within setup. A new plan needs your acceptance. Injury-related returns follow their own companion flow, with your treating professional’s instructions.
